How Goldbelly benefits all of us!

We still cut every piece of cheese and package each gift box from our Creamery in Thomasville, GA, and ship it straight to your doorstep. We chose to partner with Goldbelly to help us improve the Sweet Grass Dairy customer service experience. They offer fast, reliable delivery, an improved checkout experience with Multi-Ship options, and customer service to assist with issues that naturally arise when shipping perishable products like ours. While they help ensure our current customers are taken care of, they also help introduce us to friends we haven’t yet met across the country.

Shipping

There’s no way around the fact that shipping costs suck! Since our products are perishable, everything has to be sent for expedited delivery on specific days to ensure nothing sits in a warehouse over the weekend. We do our best to absorb some of these costs and keep the price on our products as low as possible for you. All of our collection boxes ship free. If you are trying to buy individual pieces, shipping will be calculated at checkout. However, if you order a collection box and add a single piece of cheese to that order, you will still receive free shipping.

Your cheeses should arrive 1-2 days after shipping.

After you receive your confirmation email, you will receive a separate shipping confirmation with tracking info as soon as our team prints the shipping label. This may take a few days depending on when you requested your package to ship. Please note that we often print these labels in advance, so you may not see any movement on the package for a day or two.

For delivery before Thanksgiving - by noon on Monday, November 24th. For delivery before Christmas - by noon on Monday, December 21st. For delivery before New Year's - by noon on Monday, December 28th.

Yes, when you check out, there is a date picker that you can select when you would like your item to be delivered.

Yes! We use ice packs and a compostable liner to best keep the cheeses cold. If the ice packs are warm upon arrival, no biggie! That just means they’ve done their job. However, if the cheese is warm upon arrival, please reach out, and we can discuss a reshipment.

No, we do not ship to any PO boxes as our packaging is too large to handle. Please ship to residential or commercial addresses only.

Yes! Goldbelly has perfected this part of shipping. When you are in the checkout, be sure to click “Multi-Address” under the “Ship To” portion.

Add whatever you would like to ship to them into your cart and then click “E-Gift” in the “Ship To” portion of checkout! They will then receive an electronic certificate and can use it whenever they would like!

Cheese Storage & More

We recommend storing our cheeses in the coldest part of your refrigerator. For the best quality and flavor, store it in cheese paper, parchment, or wax paper after opening it from its original packaging. We recommend eating any cheese within 7 days after opening. Don’t be alarmed if the cheeses have grown mold; it’s natural! Just cut it off and continue enjoying.

Each piece of cheese is marked with a best-by date. However, we recommend that once you open the cheese, you consume it within one week of opening. For Green Hill and aged cheeses, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and place them in the coldest part of your refrigerator.

Yes! You definitely can eat the rind. It’s whatever your personal preference is. Most consumers cut off the rind on our aged cheeses, but you can give it a try if you’d like!

Yes, we recommend serving all of our cheeses at room temperature. As best practice, unwrap each piece of cheese about an hour before you plan to serve it. For our Asher Blue, you might see some extra moisture in the packaging itself. Feel free to dab that up with a paper towel and enjoy!
